Day 3, Part 2: Pirate & Princess Party

Back at the hotel, it took us all a little while to settle down, but soon the little ones were fast asleep. After a good 2 hour plus nap, it was decided that everyone would be in good shape for attending the party from 7-12. Craig went down to the concierge to buy our tickets for the party and I got the kids ready to go (Ellie got to wear her Cinderella dress again!)

Knowing we would be at the MK late, we decided to drive ourselves to the park. It was so exciting to walk through the gate into the park as they had special "pirate" music, lights and smoke. There was a special red carpet layed out for us to walk over and we were all handed a special little loot bag to collect treasures from "X"s throughout the park. Disney did an amazing job with themeing and decorating.

We went over to Adventureland to hit our first couple loot spots and picked up some chocolate and bead necklaces. We rode The Magic Carpets of Aladdin and Pirates of the Caribbean.

Ellie got the chance to part of a "pirate tutorial" with Captain Jack Sparrow and recieved a special certifiacte!

We then hit some more "X"s and went to Splash Mountain. Ellie ended up riding once with me and twice in a row with Craig, as there was no wait so the CM just continued them through again. Needless to say, they were soaked by the time they got out! While we were waiting, Hayden and I managed to catch the special Pirate and Princess parade and he was so excited to see "Puppy" again but more excited to unwrap lots and lots of chocolate!

We grabbed a quick bite to eat at El Pirata y Perico Restaurant where Hayden got an entire Haagen Daas bar just because he was offered a bite, ha! It was about time for the special fireworks to begin so we went and parked ourselves in front of the castle. The fireworks were absolutely amazing! There were times when it seemed as if the sky were on fire. At one point Captain Hook tries to take the castle underseige, thankfully he failed. After it was over, I said to Craig that I had never been breathless during a fireworks show but this one literally took my breath away. He fully agreed!!!

Big Thunder Mountain Railroad was next. On our walk back to Frontierland we managed to catch Captain Hook and Mr. Smee for photos and autographs.

At BTMRR Ellie got to ride it once with each of us...it was then determined that we have a thrill ride junkie on our hands! Since we all didn't see it the first time, we all found a great spot to watch the parade as it came through a second time. The biggest thrill in the parade besides "Puppy", well, and Captain Jack, was that Tinkerbell was in it!!! This is special because she is rarely seen in WDW as a character.

After the parade, Ellie and I rode BTMRR again and then we decided we should check out some other stuff in the park. We stopped by Sebastian's Dance Party where the kids refused to dance with the giant crab and hit a few more "X"s.

Our last stop for the night was to see Cinderella, because what's Princess party with out the ultimate princess! We were one of the last ones to get to see her so we got to have some extra extra special time with her and her mice!!! By this time the party was winding down ad so were we, so home to the hotel we went!
