Today we had arranged to go downtown and have lunch with Aunt Jody. It has become somewhat of a tradition for us to go downtown to see her at least once during our visits to Denver. After lunch, Gramma and Papa, took the kids with them so they could head right out to their reserved campsite for the evening. They weregoing to stay at a state park just around the corner from their house. With the price of gas these day, you don't need to go far to have an adventure!
With the kids gone, we decided to do a little last minute shopping for Sam and Kim's new babies we were going to visit on Sunday so we played with the navigation system in Ken's borrowed car and found the nearest Babies R Us. Tip: no one should be allowed in that store when you are shopping for TWO precious babies. I think we spent more on those babies in an hour than we've ever spent on our own children. I'm sorry, little baby stuff is sooooo much cuter than anything my kids use these days!
We went back to C's parents' house were C took a nap and I accidentally ordered a movie on PPV On Demand-those directions are confusing and don't let you out after you press the wrong buttons...eek! At least it was a decent movie that I didn't mean to order but enjoyed watching!
Later that evening, C's sister Lori and her husband Bill picked us up to go to the Rockies game. We had awesome seats just behind and to the left of homeplate. Of couse we had some giant hot dogs and enjoyed the game. It was a great chance to catch up with them and being at the game was fun. Now, don't ask me if the Rockies won, because you know I didn't really watch a second of the game, ha!
