Ever since we returned from our Disney vacation, it has been nothing short of a struggle to try to get Hayden down for a nap. Just in the last few days, Craig formulated a plan with Ellie to get him to go quietly into his room. First they announce that it's time for Hayden to tuck Ellie in for her nap. He excitedly walks her to her room, pulls the sheet over her in the bed and kisses her night-night. Then Dad announces that it's Hayden's turn to go down for his nap. He tucks Hayden in, shuts his door and quietly sneaks Ellie out of her room. See, this way Hayden doesn't think he's the only one napping and Ellie gets some quiet time with out her little brother tagging along.
This is a great plan, until we realized, Hayden isn't really taking a nap after we leave him in his room. He has been very quietly getting books and toys out to play with in his bed. Good news though, he does eventually (after about an hour) get tired of playing and finally succumbs to slumber...but not with out a fight!
