It was an early morning as we had breakfast reservations with Pooh and Friends at the Crystal Palace in the Magic Kingdom. It was super fun to be able to enter the park before opening as Main Street was almost completely empty. Since our last visit to MK, a few days before, the park had been transformed into It's Halloween attire. Pumpkins and hay bales were everywhere.

We checked in at the Crystal Palace. We had a few minutes to wait so I took the opportunity to take some pics of the kiddos.
It was a nice breakfast buffet. H loved the Mickey waffles and C loved the coffee! E loved that she was treated with a cupcake for breakfast! We had lots of visits from our Hundred Acre Woods friends.
We were finished with breakfast at just a little after 9 am, when the park opened to all guests. We decided since we were on that side of the park already, we went to Frontierland first. There were virtually no lines for Big Thunder Mountain Railroad or Splash Mountain, E's favorites, so we all took multiple trips on both rides.
At 10, we over and took a raft over to Tom Sawyer Island. We were on the second raft over for the day, so we were hoping we might have a good chance to find one of the hidden paint brushes on the island. We had a great time exploring the caves, fort, and play areas but we were having no luck at locating one of the brushes.
We had just about given up looking for the brushes when, after exiting the "secret" passage way out of the fort, C turned around to say, "there should be one..." An there it was, a red paint brush sitting on top of the tunnel exit!!! Whoo-hoo! We made our way back to the rafts were we turned in the brush to the CM. In exchange for finding the brush, the kids were rewarded with a certificate entitling our group to a free fast pass for BTMRR or SM. Plus, the CM gave us an extra certificate good for front of the line privileges for any ride in the MK, since H was took little to ride either of the mountains in Frontierland. We were thrilled just to be able to find one of the elusive paint brushes!
C had had the chance to ride Pirates of the Carribean when he took the backstage tour on our first day, but the kids and I hadn't ridden it yet this trip. On our way over to the entrance, we saw Peter pan and Wendy Darling, so we stopped to visit. E was a bit upset and didn't understand why the two of them were bickering with each other. I had to remind her that they were kids just like she and H! There weren't many other kids around, so we were able to have a nice long time with them both.

We all enjoyed Pirates, but we had more fun in the exit gift shop:
We wandered over to the Jungle Cruise, but it had a 45 minute waiting time. Since we had it, we decided to us our fast pass from the paint brush to ride!
Lunch time was approaching, so we made our way to the back of the park to Fantasylasnd to dine at Pinocchio Haus. On our way, we made stops at the sword in the stone to see if it was a magical day for us (it wasn't) and to see if Tinkerbell was in her house, a dresser drawer in Tink's Treasure Shop (she was!).
Lunch was some pretty standard pizzas, but the kids had to do some happy dances because they enjoyed their desserts so much!
It had started to rain pretty hard while we were in the restaurant so after lunch, we went over to see Mickey's Philharmagic. It was the first attraction that we had to wait in line for today, but we didn't mind since it was out of the rain and H decided he needed a nap!
Even after the wait and the movie, the rain was still coming down. This time, it was pouring down in sheets. We waited under an overhang of a building for a while, but we quickly grew tired of slogging around in the weather and decided to call it a day.
Before exiting the park, we stopped for a photo opportunity and popped into the Main Street bakery to spend a few of our 16 remaining snack credits on some yummy goodies!
The rain had lightened, but we were still soaked to the bone, so we were ready to get back to the car to change our clothes and make one last stop before leaving WDW: Goofy's Candy Company in Downtown Disney.
The kids made us stop and take their picture in front of a Pooh mural/display. I thought it was funny that they had seen the 'real" thing earlier in the day but were thrilled with the fake scene!
It was off to Goofy's were we spent the remainder of our snack credits and got some "make your own" treats! C and I got mickey krispie treats, E got pretzels and H chose marshmallows. yum, chocolate that is so big and rich, it literally takes weeks to eat it all!
We went over to Wolfgang Puck Express to use up our remaining meal credits. We got some super yummy pizzas but couldn't finish them all. We got a take home box for the remainders and had an entire pie for our car ride!
We were sad to leave WDW, but we were ready to be back home. We had originally planned to find some place to crash on the way home, so we wouldn't have a long drive after such a long day. Unfortunately, C heard from a co-worker that hurricane Gustav was on course for P'cola, so we decided it was best to get home as soon as possible. No wonder the weather had been so bad!
We had a very uneventful drive home and managed to pull in the driveway at around 1 am.
