We arrived at the park in plenty of time to get in position for rope drop. They had a cheesy opening ceremony-something about us all being part of a fake movie cast. When they dropped the rope, everyone speed-walked over to the new Pixar Place. Our plan was for C to get fast passes and for me to wrangle the kids out of the stroller.
Everything worked perfectly! C was second in line for the passes and was finished by the time the rest of us got to the entrance of the ride. The themeing for TSM was incredible, lots of larger than life toys everywhere and a Mr. Potato Head who could interact with waiting guests.
Everyone really enjoyed the ride. H wasn't able to work the shooting mechanism for the game part of the attraction but it had so many other things to hold his attention. We were all glad that we had fast passes so we could ride again later in the day. Since we had hurried so much this morning to get out of the hotel, no one had had breakfast so we headed over to the Starring Rolls bakery. We grabbed some fruit, pastries, and coffee for C. When C came out to the table with food, he was all excited that he was given a free cookie (we had decided today would be the day we'd celebrate his birthday and he was wearing his pin). Bonus, right? Not so much for a little girl who thought today should have been her birthday today too, so she could have gotten a cookie...E pouted all the way through breakfast:
Thankfully, E managed to get out of her mood when we entered the theater for the Playhouse Disney show. She was ready to get up and dance! While the kids and I were at the show, we sent C off to get fast passes for the Tower of Terror and Rockin Roller Coaster.
After the show, we all met up again and went to the Animator's Courtyard to draw a Disney character with an artist. The character we learned to draw was Sorcerer Mickey. While we were waiting to go into the studio, we had the chance to "meet" Wall-E.
We all did a great job on our pictures of Mickey. Mine could have been better, had I not had H bouncing up and down on my lap! We next made our way over to the Tower of Terror now that our fast past time slot had arrived. On our way there, we were stopped by a Cast Member who saw C's birthday button and asked if we were going to go to the Beauty and the Beast Show. I answered, "no," but C stopped me and said to him that we would go. See, C realized that the CM was going to do something for us because it was his birthday. In fact, the did CM get out a pad of paper, put our names on it and told us to hand it to the CM who was seating people inside the theater.
We had a bit of time before the start of the show, so we continued over to ToT and I got to ride my favorite attraction! E didn't feel up to the drop and said she might ride later on in the day.

It was now time for Beauty and the Beast so we entered the theater and followed the CM instructions. The usher took our paper and lead us down to the front center of the theater for the show. It was a nice little perk to have front row seats.
For lunch we went back over to Pixar Place to eat at Pizza Planet. Apparently, everyone else in the park had the same idea, the place was bursting at the seams. While C went to place our order and pick up our food, the kids and I hovered over people finishing their food so we could grab an open table. Not the most relaxing way to start a meal! We did eventually snag a table upstairs just as C arrived with the food.
Since we were on that side of the park, C and E rode Star Tours (one of E's favorites) while H and I hung out at the gift shop/exit of the ride. Time was getting close to the start of the Block Party Bash parade and we wanted to make sure we got a spot near the starting point so we could leave DHS to get over to Epcot for our dinner reservations. We found a great little shaded area on Main Street that even had a little store front window ledge that we could sit on while we waited. I knew C had no interest in seeing the parade, so we sent him off to ride the Rockin Roller Coaster after he had grabbed some frozen lemonades for us. While waiting, we chatted with a lovely family from Wales (Jordy and Katelyn are in the picture below) which helped pass the time very quickly.
The Block Party Bash isn't like a regular parade that continually moves past you. It makes several stops where characters are unloaded in front of you and CMs perform dance and acrobatic routines. We were seated just past the Toy Story float and a bit in front of the Bug's Life one. Towards the end of our "stop" the kids are all gathered up and invited to dance with everyone. It was very hot, but the kids still got into the act! at the end of our part of the parade, little Nerf balls exploded out of the floats and the kids scrambled out to grab one for themselves.
After the last float passed us by, C found us and we headed out of the park. We had reservations for 4:30 dinner at Le Cellier in Epcot's Canada and we did not want to miss it! We hopped on to the arriving Friendship boat and set sail for Epcot.

Since we had to travel through the UK to get to Canada, we stopped so the kids could add another charm to their Kidcot masks.
When we arrived at Canada, we sent C to the restaurant to check us in as I took the kids over to the Kidcot station. A few minutes later he appeared and said, "um, we have a problem." Not what I wanted to hear. Apparently, they had our reservation scheduled for the next night, but they were going to try to fit us in. I wracked my brain trying to figure out what had gone wrong with our schedule, did I make a mistake or did Disney's Reservations. At any rate, they were able to fit us in and we had an amazing dinner! Our server Aimee was fantastic and the food was delish! Everyone but E had steak and for dessert I had maple creme brulee, C and E had chocolate "moose" and H got to make his own sundae. We had to be rolled out of that restaurant when we left. Incidentally, I checked my schedule back in the hotel room and my original schedule when we got home-both said Le Cellier was to be on the night that we were there. It would appear that the mistake was on Disney's end, but they made it right.
After thoroughly gorging ourselves, we thought a walk around the lake would be in order. It wasn't five minutes after leaving the restaurant that H fell asleep in his stroller. We knew we wanted to catch Miyuki's (the Japanese candy lady) show, so I took him over to Japan so I could sit down and wait. C took E to meet Belle and the Beast in France.

Sure enough, we were the second family to be chosen. Before hand, we had discussed with E that, if picked, she would get to ask for the animal she wanted but if Miyuki wasn't able to make it, she would ask for an alligator for H. Well, E asked for a butterfly, was denied and was then somehow talked into a flamingo by the very persuasive Japanese woman. One disappointed little boy-check. Ugh! Anyway, Miyuki was incredible as usual and our Flamingo was beautiful.
We continued around the lake and took a break in China to play with the daibolos. The kids were son interested in these toys becasue we had seen the little girls in the Cirque du Soleil show perform tricks with them the night before. The lovely girls at the kiosk were able to do a few little tricks with the yo-yo like toy and made it look so easy. Somehow we managed to walk away with out owning one!
At this point, we were all definately winding down from our early morning and we decided to call it a night. We hopped back on the Friendship Boat to DHS's parking lot and back to the hotel we went.
Good night!
