Church Egg Hunt

Today our church held it's Easter egg hunt. We figured it would just be the kids going after a few eggs, oh, were we ever wrong! when we arrived, the fellowship hall was sent up with about 10 different little games for the kids to play. There was bowling, a fishing game, mini-golf, and others where the kids won a little piece of candy or a toy after they completed it. There was also a table set up with snacks and drinks. Down the classroom halls, were rooms set up with different activities. One room had sand art egg magnets, another had Easter cards and flower pots, another had mini crosses to put together and the last had frost your own cookies.

After about an hour, they announced the egg hunt would be starting. They had divided up the kids between preschoolers and the older kids. The preschoolers got to do the hunt in the fenced in playground. H was easily distracted, as once he picked up an egg, he had to immediately open it to see the candy inside. E was an old pro, She had eagle eyes and spotted lots of eggs that were over looked by others. Once all the eggs had been collected, the kids took them back into the fellowship hall to trade them in for prizes. The kids each picked out really cool bubble wands and a few pieces of candy. They had a ton of fun blowing bubbles under the covered breezeway.

There was also a baby turken there for the kids to hold. His name was Lucky and he is half chicken and half turkey. You't think we were still in alabama with critters like that!

E was in the children's choir for Palm Sunday so they held a practice today so the kids would be ready to sing in front of everyone. Before the pactice the kids all had a pizza lunch, whoo hoo!!! E practiced for a long time and it showed! We were two proud parents watching her sing her little heart out!

Whew! We were all exhausted by the time we got home!
