Who knows how it got started, but the topic of snickerdoodle cookies came up. C said that he'd never had one of the cinnamon sugar covered cookies I described to him as being a snickerdoodle. He thinks his mom makes something she calls a snickerdoodle but from his description of some chocolate/nut confection, either he's confused or Gramma is confused on calling it whatever it is...equal likelihood for both scenarios :)
Anyway, to correct C's misconceptions of what a snickerdoodle is, we decided to whip up a batch. Better yet, i decided to let C make the cookies with the kids, while I supervised, of course!!! They did a great job, my kitchen wasn't too much a disaster and we had a ton of super yummy cookies!!!
