Birthday Party Time

Today we headed over to Mobile to celebrate our friends K's third and J's first birthdays. We know K and J from our days in B'ham and they just happened to make the move south just around the same time we did. It's nice to have old friends nearby.

It was a pool party, so the kids had a great time splashing around in both the big and little pools.


After the kids blew out the candles on their cakes, our host had a little surprise for me. Since someone let it be known that today was my birthday, I was presented with my own cake and a candle to be blown out. It was very unexpected but a nice surprise-and only a little embarassing! It was great to see old friends, and we were sad to leave, but we knew we were going to see them tomorrow, as they were coming over to see us tomorrow to celebrate H's birthday!
